3. Text Messaging Program

If you opt in to receive text messages from ICDP, we will send you messages about elections, candidates, events, volunteer opportunities, and other party activities. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can text STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or text HELP for assistance. Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or service.

Personally Identifiable Information collected through our SMS program will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

ICDP does not sell your Personally Identifiable Information. Personally Identifiable Information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. With vendors that help us operate, such as email delivery services, text messaging platforms, voter file providers, payment processors, website hosting, and analytics. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may use information only to perform services on our behalf.

• Affiliated political committees and endorsed candidates. Consistent with our role as a county central committee chartered under the California Democratic Party, we may share information with the California Democratic Party, the Democratic National Committee, ICDP endorsed candidates, and other Democratic Party committees for political organizing purposes. This sharing is for political and electoral purposes only and is not for commercial promotion or marketing by unaffiliated third parties.

• Public disclosure of contributions. California law requires us to publicly report the name, address, occupation, and employer of donors who give above certain thresholds. This information appears on our campaign finance reports filed with the appropriate filing officer.

• Legal compliance. When required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ICDP or others.
